Since 1997, the Foundation has raised and contributed more than $4,082,650 to the Newport Beach Public Library system. The library’s budget from the city has only 9% of funds allocated to materials (items available for the public to use and check out); the Foundation supplements the materials budget with an average gift of $220,000 annually and provides about $295,000 for core programming.
